Poxy O2 service..

Here's a copy of a note that I sent to O2 about its lousy service in this area:

"I enquired some time ago about the lack of good service for data in these two towns, Glastonbury & Street in Somerset. These are towns with a combined population of over 20,000 people, yet although practically everywhere else around here has High-Speed access or 3G we have to put up with the slow dial-up speed GPRS, where one constantly gets "timed out" or "limited access" messages. A new thing is the constant "FAILED" notes when even sending an SMS message. The signal appears to be good even when failing SMS's.

I think that it is pointless purchasing a smart phone for use with O2 in this area, and having to rely on one's own Wifi hub as I have to do to access the net. I think you are taking money under false pretences in taking money if one cannot even manage to send a Text message or obtain reasonable speed net access. I want a definite reply this time as to WHEN the service here is going to be improved. I have a lot of net viewers who await a note from you about this. Improve the service here Or many shall leave and join another provider."

Will it have any effect? I doubt it as they took not the slightest bit of notice when I wrote virtually the same thing over a year ago, just referred me to their Website! Not good enough.

How it has changed...

I visited my birthplace in London yesterday.

I was deeply shocked to see how the character of Woolwich has changed.

To be frank, to describe it as looking like a suburb of Mogadishu would not be incorrect.

Someone, somewhere has vastly underestimated the immigration figures for this green & pleasant land, and maybe deliberately too. Being outnumbered at least four to one has been postulated by a friend who I met and drank Coffee with, near Woolwich Arsenal rail station: he is not happy.

The place of happy memories is now a sea of Muslims; Afro-Caribbean and Halal shops and a new Mosque is nearing completion with "Phase two" starting soon.

Woolwich's most famous son was General Gordon; he of the Sudanese wars.

I stood in what WAS named General Gordon Place, yesterday, except that all references to him have been removed and a bland new square put in place, complete with giant TV screen.

I shall await with interest to see if the square gets named after Gordon, or if I suspect, his name has gone to be politically correct.

I may add to this as my mood sees fit, but I am concerned for our British way of life and want it to stay that way, with our culture, not one that has been imposed upon us.

Is that racist? I don't care whether it is, or seems that way, but I WILL have my say.

In the UK, but I don't know about the good old U S of A which still in the 21st century regularly legally murders its criminals, we have a good legal system which states that anyone is innocent until proven guilty.

Of course, if you are of the country called "Israel" which stole its land from the Arabs and murdered dozens of British soldiers trying to keep the peace, then regularly bumping-off supposed enemies is a routine process, and well worth copying by Yanks, who also think that the rules of civilised existence don't apply.

Do not bother arresting an alleged criminal and place him in front of a judge and jury; just send in the psychopathic thugs of which America is famous (having wiped-out 100,000 civilians in Iraq)

Let them do their dirty work watched by a cold president who enjoyed seeing someone murdered in front of his own eyes.

He was obviously so pleased with himself, having to face an election in a year or so.

So what else do we see around the world after the announcement that a human-being's life had been ended?

There is no evidence that Osama bin-Laden was anything but a mouthy asshole. His 'powers' were not as he would have liked, certainly not in recent years anyway.

What evidence is there that he "Masterminded" the 9/11 attacks? None, in fact he denied it quite soon after the attacks happened, but we know that the Taliban and certainly al-Qaeda often "own-up" to atrocities which they had nothing to do with: it's just bravado my friends. "al-Qaeda" as such does not exist. It is an invention of the Bush government, and it is not a wholesale organisation, it is a loose load of groups with the same ideology, but not subject to one person's rule.

Half the stuff you heard about old OBL is bollocks; he was a patsy, probably to cover up the dastardly doings of the American governments over the last few years.

Is it just me, or does it look totally bizarre to see two men on TV., talking of their Baby?

It seems that if you are a tinpot billionaire singer with false hair "Married" to another bloke, that you can do as you like.

It seems that if you have the money, you are able to pay a woman to have a baby, but only if a well-known figure, and you do not live in the UK where (I believe) paying for a baby is still illegal.

Surely, raising a child is natural if it is a Husband and (female) wife doing that, not two men?

"Thankyou YouTube, the extension of the 10 minute limit is welcome, however this is not of much use if after two years of being on site, and thousands of views, our videos are reduced to looking like they were shot through the bottom of a glass bottle. Put back the 480p setting, YouTube, and cease degrading any more videos to 360p"

Quite apart from this I see that the really silly idea that people are "manipulating their viewcounts" continues with these YouTube vultures; freezing at least four of mine at around 301 for over a month! Yeah right, sure I am...not.

Where is justice?

We see it all the time in the UK.

Police thugs getting away with murder and assault.

The latest decision by the Crown Prosecution "service" not to charge a police thug who knocked an innocent bystander to the ground at the G20 demonstrations, resulting in that person's death, is to be expected.

After all, another copper by the name of "Smellie" slapped a five feet tall woman round the face at that same demonstration, and got away with it; thugs shot an unarmed man seven times in the head in 2005 and got away with it also.

Put on a thug uniform, cover all identifying numbers, wear a balaclava, and kill someone, yet get told that no further action will be taken! Typical.

**Update September 2010: A copper in a police station in Wiltshire was caught on CCTV dragging a woman along the station floor and throwing her into a cell causing substantial injuries to her face (blood was seen dripping on the floor of the cell)

That filth of a copper was tried and convicted of actual bodily harm and sentenced to six months jail. He served SIX DAYS of that sentence, then was released into the community while awaiting an appeal!!

SIX DAYS in jail to appeal against WHAT? He was seen on CCTV doing what he did; how come he is out anyway? Yet another case of one law for us and another for a filthy scuffer, who should remain in jail for what he did. with no appeal.

This is not all: even though that scum has been sentenced and jailed, he still remains a scuffer on full pay!!! Laughable!!

I looked at the recent UN G5+1 meeting on TV.
The Iranian president started to say his piece, but half the delegates at the meeting walked out. The president made no mention of the holocaust at all during his speech.

The British, Americans and of course, the Israelis left the hall.

But wait! None of them left when the Israeli prime minister, Binyamin Netanyahu, started to give his oration.
Very confusing as surely the Israelis killed 1400 Palestinian civilians during their attacks in January 2009; surely they have refused to allow the IAEA to inspect their "secret" nuclear facilities; surely they continue to ignore UN resolutions, amongst them to cease the collective punishment of the Palestinians and to cease building settlements in occupied territory; surely they use illegal weapons like White Phosphorus on civilians?
Some countries are applying double-standards in continually victimising Iran, yet supporting Pakistan in its aquisition of nuclear weapons, which at the time was a military dictatorship!

The Iranians have never attacked anybody, could it possible that they really want to just have nuclear energy, not bombs, but who can blame them if they DID want a device to to protect themselves from all the hostile countries around them bristling with nuclear bombs and missiles. The fascist state, Israel, would seem to be the most hostile, and the most dangerous.

Why doesn't the international community stop supporting the apartheid regime which is Israel; stop selling them weapons; stop giving them money like they are some sort of third world country, and above all shun them for being the fascists that they are.

Germany has sold that country two nuclear submarines, and have agreed to make them another. All of these are capable of carrying nuclear missiles, insanity.

"Asylum seekers??"

Watching the news broadcasts of the clearance of the illegal immigrant camp at Calais, one cannot help but be struck by the singular lack of women and girls being led away by the French police.
As many of these so-called "Asylum seekers" are from Afghanistan, one would tend to ask the question "Why?" Surely it is the women who are the most oppressed in that country? Not the young men that we saw.

I hope that our 'government' does not give in to the moral blackmail that we have been hearing, and realise that these illegals, including any children present, went to Calais of their own free will, and should claim asylum in France, as per European law.
They are patently economic migrants, and we have enough of those in our country already.

Our population is now 70 million and climbing; time to put up the barriers and realise that we simply cannot absorbed the whole population of Afghanistan or anywhere else within this country.

Thousands of complaints and counting....

Since my last blogs on this charade of a video-sharing site, YouTube, not a SINGLE thing has been done about the thousands of complaints concerning the freezing of video viewcounts at around 300.
Any "Contacting" of them is restricted to using one E-mail address which never replies with any useful advice; just "help pages" which explain nothing. Posting to their blogs and "help" groups just adds to many more complaints.

These people must easily be the most devious , deceitful and unhelpful operators of a Website EVER.
Their "customer service" is non-existent. If they were an ISP or public utility they would be Bankrupt by now, having lost all their users. They must be losing thousands of users over this in any case, perhaps they think that they can afford to? How long can that go on?
